Sterling Baseball Defeats St. Mary’s University

Sterling baseball faced St. Marys on Saturday, March 30th and 31st. With the final result of yet another win. This weekend was their eight consecutive win.

Game one ended with a final score of (3-1,).Sterling’s first victory of the night. With key plays from Ben Giland, Miguel Velazquez and Carlos Rivera.

Game two and last final game of the day was another victory for Sterling baseball. Ending with a score of (8-0).

The following day, Sterling achieves yet another victory for game 3. Ending with a final score of (7-2).

The team was very excited for these wins.

“We played together and we stayed positive. We did the little things like playing good defense and have good strikes at bat” said Carlos River, member of the baseball team.

“Everybody did their job and when we play together amazing things happen, like this game. I think that all the team was key for this victory. I feel great I feel happy. We have a special team here.” He said.

Sterling Baseball will continue their season facing Oklahoma City University, Tuesday April 2 at 2:30 pm.
